Leon Whistler Bluegrass Band is a Roanoke-based acoustic band bringing fresh perspective & driving energy to traditional bluegrass.
We are loyal listeners to the iconic musicians who helped shape the bluegrass genre: Flatt & Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, Stanley Brothers, Tony Rice. And we enjoy sprinkling in the flair of newer bluegrass influences: Dave Grisman, Hot Rize, Della Mae.
We get a kick out of ramping up the crowd with foot-stomping bluegrass.
